Quinta Las Mercedes is a traditional house that opens its doors to tourism. It keeps the charm of the indigenous culture and at the same time it offers an experience of relaxation and rest while you enjoy of the family atmosphere under the shade of the Cotopaxi Volcano.

History and Tradition
Quinta Las Mercedes was an agricultural and livestock family farm with a vast production for over 40 years. The house was about to be sold in 2005, but two out of 10 the siblings decided not to sell it, instead they bought the house and started its reconstruction in 2008. The transformation led the house to open the doors to tourists both Ecuadorians and foreigners in 2014 during the festivities of "Virgen del Quinche".
Its owners wanted to maintain the house within the Yanchapaxi Family and now are happy to welcome guests from all over the world so they can see and enjoy gardens, tranquility, pine forest, rest in hammocks, excellent food and hospitality.

How to get here?
If you are coming from Quito. Take Ecuador Highway 35. You have to pass by "Fuerte Militar Patria" until the traffic light you find. Turn right and take the "Via Saquisili" Road until you get to a park. Before you pass by the park turn left and keep going 3 blocks until you get to 9 de Octubre St. (Hint: You will see a small church on the corner of the street). Turn Left and keep going for 0.1242 miles. You will fin Quinta Las Mercedes on your left hand side.
Our very first International Guests
These guys were exchange students in Ecuador that visited Quinta Las Mercedes during the remodeling process of the house. They are from the United States and studied at Universidad San Francisco de Quito in 2013.
